The Office of Emergency Management is responsible for minimizing the loss of life and reducing property damages through training and implementation of programs that promote community preparedness, an organized response, and timely recovery programs for incidents occurring in Warren County. The Office of Emergency Management provides community outreach and education in disaster preparedness.
Other responsibilities include:
Coordinating any County-wide response to a disaster situation.
Ensuring disaster assistance is available to all government agencies, businesses, and citizens of Warren County.
Coordinate between federal, state, and local agencies relating to disaster response and recovery operations.
Maintain the Warren County Emergency Operations Plan.
Provide training to County Departments regarding emergency sheltering and maintain the Warren County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Amateur Radio program.

Warren County utilizes an Enhanced 911 network for all emergent police, fire, and emergency medical incidents.

During a large scale emergency or natural disaster, there are often many non-emergency questions such as are emergency shelters open or what programs or services are available through Warren County, State, or Federal programs. Answers to these questions may be obtained by calling 540-635-4128. This number is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week and the operator will be able to obtain your information and forward your question(s) to the appropriate agencies.
